How to choose a good auto accident attorney

The obvious answer to us is that you pick up the phone and call Brian at 323-954-9955!

OK, we know that unless you were referred to this website by someone who worked with us in the past, the answer is not so obvious.

Here are some important things to keep in mind when you’re looking for a personal injury attorney.

  • 1 Referrals. If you know someone who has been through a personal injury court trial, check with them and find out if they are happy with the attorney who handled their case. However, keep in mind that we often decide we like an attorney simply because we won. It’s in your best interests to dig a little deeper!
  • 2 Check reviews. Yelp can be a good place to start (disclosure: we’re biased because we’ve got over 100 positive reviews there!), but no review site is 100% fool-proof. Check more than one review site (a list of attorney review sites is below), and be cautious of reviews that seem too positive (paid reviewers!) or too negative (some sites have been accused of posting negative reviews so the business will pay to have them removed).
  • 3 Pick up the phone! Make sure you ask (and later verify):
  • How much trial experience to they have? If the case does go to trial, not all attorneys have the experience or personalities to really stand up for you in court.
  • How long have they been in practice? How much experience do they have with cases like yours?
  • What professional associations do they belong to? (write it down and check!)
  • Are you comfortable giving them your personal information? Do they seem genuinely interested in solving your problem?

Remember! Check more than one review site, and be wary of reviews that seem too positive or too negative.
