Outside of work, Mr. Pennell enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife, Lori, and their spirited Vizsla, Annabelle. With his son off to college in New Orleans and his daughter in graduate school in Los Angeles, he spends his free time surfing, cycling, hiking, playing soccer, or skiing. Though his 18-year career as an actor is in the rearview mirror, he fondly reflects on the days of stepping into different roles and experiencing life through another’s perspective—skills that continue to inform his advocacy and empathy in the courtroom.
